Without question, the first priority of the Secretary of State is voter security. David knows we need to invest in the very latest equipment and technologies. He will work to enable voter confirmation numbers so our voters can personally verify that their vote and their choice were counted. David will work to initiate the very latest in physical and logical cyber security. Backup reporting, closed circuit data storage, and collaborative training for our county election boards.
In his role as Mayor, David started Georgia’s first technology commission. He envisioned, championed, and launched a technology incubator in Alpharetta, which helped to connect, grow, and develop high-tech ideas, innovations, and businesses. With over 640 technology companies in Alpharetta, the city has become known as the Technology City of the South. David has strong connections in this industry and a solid understanding of what it takes to guard against security threats. As Secretary of State, he will champion the necessary changes to keep our information and our votes secure.
